Curriculum planning
Our school adopts spiral teaching, with school-based curriculum as the backbone. According to children's interests, development characteristics and characteristics, teaching design provides personalized teaching, exploration and game activities by means of class design activities. Through diversified and multi-sensory learning experiences, children can learn the skills of problem solving and have a passion for life. It aims at cultivating students’ positive values and attitudes from an early age and promote children's all-round development in all aspects.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
The school adheres to the "child-centered" educational philosophy and uses whole-class, small group and individual learning methods to allow children to practice what they have learned through real-life experiences, interests, sensory exploration and visits, and gradually develop and enhance children's self-care, observation, thinking and problem-solving abilities. Moreover, during this learning journey, our school has also implemented opportunities for parent-child activities.
Assessment of children’s learning experiences
Use continuous assessment methods to observe children's different learning performance and abilities, use observation records, theme assessment forms, and continuous assessment forms to present children's learning and development profiles at each stage, and use child development portfolios to display and integrate different areas of children ability. There is also an ongoing communication between parents and teachers throughout the school year. This ensures that the school and home work together and there is a timely intervention in the development of young children.
School Characteristics
School vision and mission
Balanced development in spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical, communal, and artistic aspects is promoted besides providing enjoyable learning environment. We endeavor to foster the ambitious, pragmatic and creative campus culture for creation of conditions for provision of ‘people-oriented’ quality education. Through biliteracy and trilingualism, children gain knowledge in different areas, skills and values in the atmosphere of trust and care which are useful tools for surviving in the society. Our expectation is to nourish students who are self-confident, respect the others and pursue life learning.
