Curriculum planning
|
1. The curriculum is based on the Agape love of Christians adopting the ‘Children Before all’ mentality in fostering the whole-child development in every aspect, such as moral, intelligent, physical, social, aesthetic and spirituality enhancing children growing.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.

Learning / Teaching approach and activities

1. The ‘Moral Education’ from bible is adopted, which cultivatse children good behavior of children by daily asemmblies and allocating extra time for enhancing penetrating morals onto children.
2. Using both big and small group teaching lessons allow children to learn from a thematic method with games that promoting their ability of independence, and using project approach to promote the curriculum. Through huge variety of learning activities, it lets children learn from exploring, enhancing their independance, self-expression and problem solving abilities.
3. School has used high-scoped teaching method that provides a variety learning corner for children, to let them experience the process of ‘plan’, ‘do’ and ‘review’, enhancing the children’s self learning process.
4. School has used the curriculum of ‘ORFF music – positive education entertaining story series’, which combines stories in music lesson systematically, enhancing children’s inner musical rhythm and savor.

Through the process of observation, record-keeping and analysis of children’s daily learning performance, we help children to build up their own portfolios. We make use of the portfolios that can be reflect children’s performance on learning and development.
